Effective October 2026. How MemberVerdict handles the little information we collect.
Who we are
This policy explains how MemberVerdict LLC, a Kansas limited liability company ("MemberVerdict", "we"), handles personal information on memberverdict.com, the embedded member tool and the customer portal.
What we collect
- Contact requests: name, work email, organization, title, phone (optional), organization type, member count and your message.
- Accounts: name, email, phone, organization, title, licensed states and license number for agents, and a password stored only as a secure hash.
- Member quote requests: the name, email, phone, state and profile details a member chooses to send so one licensed agent can contact them.
- Payments: invoices, payment status, your acceptance of our Terms at payment, and the card brand and last four digits Stripe reports. Card details are entered on Stripe's page and are never received or stored by us.
- Sales partners: name, email, sales and commission records, and the ID of the partner's Stripe payout account. Bank details, tax ID and identity checks for payouts are collected and held by Stripe, not by us.
- Rating inputs: age, sex, household, income, work coverage and savings entered in the rating tool are processed in your browser to calculate scores and are not sent to us unless you request a quote.
- MV Assistant: answers in your browser from the data on this site. Your questions are not sent to us or to any AI provider.
- Member tool usage: when the member tool runs on an association's or administrator's website, it counts visits, comparisons, which coverage tabs are opened, assistant questions and program link clicks, as anonymous daily totals for that organization, plus broad bands (age group, household type, income band, state, device, and the general topic of assistant questions). Nothing a member types, no exact answers and no question text are stored.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept for security and troubleshooting.
What we never collect
We never ask for Social Security numbers, dates of birth, policy or account numbers, or health information. Please do not enter them.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: a sign-in cookie for the customer portal (up to 14 days), a sign-in cookie for staff (up to 12 hours), and a referral cookie (up to 120 days) that records which MemberVerdict partner introduced you. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use it
To provide the service you asked for, answer requests, introduce a member to one licensed agent when the member asks, send invoices, receipts and service emails, keep the service secure, and meet legal and tax obligations. We do not sell or rent personal information and do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that run the service for us: Microsoft Azure (hosting and database), Stripe (card payments, fraud checks and partner payouts) and Resend (email delivery); with the one licensed agent a member asks us to introduce; with Stripe and the card networks when we respond to a payment dispute (we share the invoice, receipt, terms acceptance and delivery records); with professional advisers, collection agencies and authorities when needed to enforce our terms or when the law requires; and with a buyer or successor if the business is sold or merged. Each provider may use the information only to provide its service to us. Information is stored and processed in the United States.
Retention
Contact requests and quote requests are kept for up to 24 months after the last contact. Account information is kept while the account is open. Invoices and payment records are kept for 7 years for tax purposes. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Your rights and choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or close your account, by emailing support@memberverdict.com. We respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law (for example in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas), including to appeal a decision about your request; we honor them and will not treat you differently for using them. We do not sell or "share" personal information for targeted advertising, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals. We may need to verify your identity, and we keep records the law or a payment dispute requires us to keep.
Security
Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, and access to customer data is limited to MemberVerdict staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Children
MemberVerdict is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; material changes are announced on the site or by email to account holders.
